Flake epoxy floors across Chatham-Kent, Windsor, Sarnia and London

Full Flake Epoxy Floors Built for Garages, Basements and Shops

Flake is the most popular floor we install, and for good reason. Colour chips broadcast to full coverage over an epoxy base give you texture underfoot, a finish that hides dust and tire marks, and dozens of blends to match the house. A clear polyaspartic top coat locks it in against salt, oil and sun.

  • Broadcast to full coverage, never sparse
  • Grip built in from the flake texture
  • Dozens of blends, samples brought to your quote

How a Flake Floor Is Built

After grinding and repair, a pigmented epoxy base coat goes down and the flake is broadcast into it while it's wet, to full coverage so no base shows through. Once cured, the loose flake is scraped and vacuumed off, leaving a flat, textured surface. A clear polyaspartic top coat goes over everything to seal it, add UV stability and give the floor its sheen.

The layers matter. Kits that toss a handful of chips into thin paint don't give you the texture, thickness or wear resistance of a full broadcast system.

  • Pigmented epoxy base coat
  • Full flake broadcast, scraped flat
  • Clear polyaspartic top coat
  • Flake size and texture level chosen to suit the space

Choosing a Blend

Blends run from quiet greys and tans that hide everything, to black and charcoal mixes for a shop look, to bold colours for a showpiece garage. Larger flake reads as more textured and hides more; smaller flake reads smoother and more uniform. We bring the sample boards to the quote so you can see blends against your walls, cabinets and vehicles.

Where Flake Works Best

Garages first, because flake handles hot tires, road salt and dropped tools and still cleans up with a hose. Basement laundry rooms, workshops and mudrooms, where texture and dust-hiding are useful. Covered porches, patios and walkways, in a full polyaspartic version that won't yellow outside. And shops, receiving areas and back-of-house commercial floors where a practical, forgiving floor beats a showroom finish.

What Customers Say About Working With Mike

Five-star review
Spoke with Mike regarding our garage floor and the need to have it completed prior to company arrival. He said one way or another it would be completed and offered a tentative date. The week before, he called to advise they had a reschedule and offered to do ours a week early. Bonus! He arrived the next morning and dug right in. The following morning the final top coat was applied and the job completed. So very pleased with not only the response but the final result. Can't imagine a better job, so thank you one and all!

Had the pleasure of having work done by Mike and his crew. They did a fantastic job and Mike was extremely professional and helpful. Once they finished, Mike sent videos and pictures of the entire house and also completed a second clear coating layer as he wasn't 100% happy with the first coat, even though it was not included in the price. Don't bother looking for another epoxy company as you won't find better than Mike.

This company I had a wonderful experience with. They came to our home and explained how the process works, arrived when they said they would, performed the job well and left with a wonderful new basement floor, all cleaned up as professionals should do. Very pleased with the end result. Now for me to install the new trim come this fall. Highly recommend this company.
