Metallic Epoxy Floors That Look Like Poured Stone and Liquid Metal

Metallic epoxy is the floor people stop and photograph. Metallic pigments are worked through a clear epoxy so they swirl, pool and settle into a marbled, three-dimensional pattern that no two installs share. It suits finished basements, bars, showrooms, salons and lobbies, and it's sealed under a polyaspartic top coat like every floor we install.

  • One of a kind, no two floors alike
  • Two-tone and accent pigments available
  • Polyaspartic top coat for shine and protection

How a Metallic Floor Is Built

After grinding and repair, a solid pigmented base coat goes down so the metallic layer has a consistent backdrop. Then the metallic coat: clear epoxy tinted with metallic pigment, poured and worked with rollers and squeegees, sometimes with a second colour dropped in, so the pigment moves before it cures. Finally a clear polyaspartic top coat seals the pattern and gives it depth and shine.

Because the pigment moves on its own as it cures, the pattern is guided rather than controlled. We match the colours and the general feel to your samples; the exact swirl is unique to your floor.

  • Solid pigmented base coat
  • Metallic epoxy coat, hand-worked
  • Optional second pigment for two-tone effects
  • Clear polyaspartic top coat

Colours and Effects

Single-colour metallics read as pearl, brushed metal or stone, depending on the pigment. Two-tone pours add veining or a lava-flow effect: copper with black, silver with charcoal, blue with white. Warm metallics suit wood and brick; cool metallics suit modern spaces and tile. We bring pour samples to the quote so you can see how much movement each pigment gives.

Where Metallic Works Best

Finished basements, rec rooms, home bars and theatres, where the floor is part of the design. Showrooms, salons, restaurants and lobbies that want a floor customers remember. Detail garages that double as a showpiece. It's not the right pick for a working garage or a wet commercial space: the smooth surface shows tire marks and needs added texture to grip when wet, so for those we'd point you to flake or quartz.

    Free on-site quote

We measure, inspect your concrete and bring samples so you can see the finish in your own light.

  2. 2

    Surface prep and repair

What Customers Say About Working With Mike

Five-star review
This company I had a wonderful experience with. They came to our home and explained how the process works, arrived when they said they would, performed the job well and left with a wonderful new basement floor, all cleaned up as professionals should do. Very pleased with the end result. Now for me to install the new trim come this fall. Highly recommend this company.

Had the pleasure of having work done by Mike and his crew. They did a fantastic job and Mike was extremely professional and helpful. Once they finished, Mike sent videos and pictures of the entire house and also completed a second clear coating layer as he wasn't 100% happy with the first coat, even though it was not included in the price. Don't bother looking for another epoxy company as you won't find better than Mike.

Spoke with Mike regarding our garage floor and the need to have it completed prior to company arrival. He said one way or another it would be completed and offered a tentative date. The week before, he called to advise they had a reschedule and offered to do ours a week early. Bonus! He arrived the next morning and dug right in. The following morning the final top coat was applied and the job completed. So very pleased with not only the response but the final result. Can't imagine a better job, so thank you one and all!
