Basement floor coating across Chatham-Kent, Windsor, Sarnia and London

Epoxy Basement Floors You Can Actually Live On

Bare basement concrete sheds dust, holds stains and never feels finished. A coated basement floor is sealed, seamless and easy to clean, and it works under everything from a home gym to a finished rec room. Most basements take a day or two, and you're back downstairs 24 hours after the top coat.

  • Solid colour, flake or metallic finishes
  • Cracks and control joints filled and ground flush
  • One to two days, back downstairs in 24 hours

What a Basement Floor Coating Includes

Basements need the same prep as a garage, plus a little more care with the details. We grind the slab to remove old paint and surface laitance, fill cracks and saw-cut control joints so they don't show through, and work cleanly around posts, framing and stairs so the finish runs right to the edge. Then the base coat, your chosen finish and the polyaspartic top coat.

The floor is sealed when we leave: no more concrete dust, no more stains from a spilled drink or a leaking washer.

  • Crack and control joint fill
  • Diamond grinding with dust extraction
  • Solid colour, flake or metallic base
  • Clear polyaspartic top coat
  • Concrete steps and landings coated to match

Which Finish Suits a Basement?

Solid colour is the most common basement floor: a single tone, smooth and bright, that reads as a finished floor under area rugs and furniture. Flake adds texture and hides dust, so it suits laundry rooms, workshops and utility areas. Metallic epoxy is the showpiece option for a bar, home theatre or rec room where the floor is meant to be noticed.

Because basements are cool and can hold moisture, we check the slab at the quote and tell you whether a coating is the right call or whether grind and seal is the better fit.

Epoxy vs Carpet, Laminate or Tile in a Basement

Carpet holds moisture and smells, laminate swells if the basement ever takes on water, and tile is cold and the grout stains. A coated concrete floor handles the occasional wet basement better than any of them: if water gets in, you mop it up and the floor is unchanged. It also keeps your ceiling height, since it adds almost nothing to the slab.

How it works

Four Steps to a New Floor

  1. 1

    Free on-site quote

We measure, inspect your concrete and bring samples so you can see the finish in your own light.

  2. 2

    Surface prep and repair

Cracks, pitting and old coatings are fixed, then the slab is diamond ground so the coating bonds for good.

  3. 3

    Coating and top coat

Your chosen system goes down, followed by a polyaspartic top coat for UV and chemical protection. We inspect the whole floor before we leave.

  4. 4

    Enjoy your new floor

Walk on it in 24 hours, park on it in 48.

What Customers Say About Working With Mike

Five-star review
This company I had a wonderful experience with. They came to our home and explained how the process works, arrived when they said they would, performed the job well and left with a wonderful new basement floor, all cleaned up as professionals should do. Very pleased with the end result. Now for me to install the new trim come this fall. Highly recommend this company.

Had the pleasure of having work done by Mike and his crew. They did a fantastic job and Mike was extremely professional and helpful. Once they finished, Mike sent videos and pictures of the entire house and also completed a second clear coating layer as he wasn't 100% happy with the first coat, even though it was not included in the price. Don't bother looking for another epoxy company as you won't find better than Mike.

Spoke with Mike regarding our garage floor and the need to have it completed prior to company arrival. He said one way or another it would be completed and offered a tentative date. The week before, he called to advise they had a reschedule and offered to do ours a week early. Bonus! He arrived the next morning and dug right in. The following morning the final top coat was applied and the job completed. So very pleased with not only the response but the final result. Can't imagine a better job, so thank you one and all!
